ABOUT ME

MY STORY

After writing my BSc thesis about plastic waste in Amsterdam, I wanted to do something about plastic pollution myself. This resulted in me co-initiating WASTED, a neighbourhood currency that returned value to plastic waste. After several years of developing WASTED, I returned to university and did a PhD study on the role of trust in sustainability transitions. My topic choice was based on my own experience as a change maker.

As part of my PhD research I have developed a framework to understand the role of trust in transformative change projects.

Currently, I am collaborating with theatre makers in an action research project on climate change conflicts in European cities. I will be conducting fieldwork in 2023, and will share reflections on theatre, climate change and of course trust in this context along the way.
